SUMMARY:UN COPUOS Legal Subcommittee (LSC) Meeting
DESCRIPTION:65th session of the UN COPUOS Legal Subcommittee (LSC). Informal meetings and consultations are expected to take place on April 13-14 and April 23-24\, surrounding the main session dates. Key lunar issues to be addressed include resources and information-sharing. Sessions focus is on international space governance\, including space safety\, sustainability\, lunar activities\, and legal issues relating to space exploration. At Vienna International Centre (VIC)\, commonly known as the UN Headquarters\,  Wagramer Strasse 5\, 1220 Vienna\, specifically in the C-Building. \nThe Open Lunar foundation invites: \nIf you are attending these events or are interested in engaging on these topics\, please reach out to connect@openlunar.org. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Workshop on Cislunar Positioning\, Navigation\, and Timing (PNT)
DESCRIPTION:The Moon is a primary focus for space activities around the world in the coming decades\, including orbiters\, landers\, rovers\, human activities\, science\, and both short- and long-duration missions evolving into a sustainable ecosystem. These activities are driving a need for infrastructure to provide consistent\, precise\, real-time lunar Positioning\, Navigation and Timing (PNT) services. Currently there are multiple development efforts underway to satisfy this need\, with systems operational as early as this decade. As with the existing Earth-based Global Navigation Satellite Systems\, such infrastructure will need to be mutually compatible\, interoperable\, and available to maximize utility for lunar space users.

SUMMARY:19th ESPI Autumn Conference: Europe as a Space Power – Directionality & Priorities of Strategic Action
DESCRIPTION:For the first time in Autumn Conference history\, the Conference will convene at the Vienna Rathaus. \nSpace is an arena of power politics and so\, increasingly\, a tool of international power projection. The place of Europe in space as a strong actor and trusted global partner is having growing pains. In spite of its landmark achievements and solid foundations\, Europe today lacks the political will — at the true scale of its economic power and talent — to assert itself as a full space power. \nThe 19th edition of the ESPI Autumn Conference will address the pathways for Europe to become a full-fledged space power and reinforce its role as a partner to the world\, bringing together high-level European and international stakeholders.
