Homeschool Days: Astronaut Training

Homeschool Days is specially designed for K-12 students and families to offer exciting hands-on activities and workshops throughout the Discovery Center; 10:00-16:00 MST.

Event Details:

Do you have what it takes to become an astronaut? From problem-solving challenges to teamwork missions, kids will test their strength, balance, and brainpower in real NASA challenges while learning the science and skills astronauts need in space.

This spring, Homeschool Days will explore “Living In Space” through different hands-on activities each month.

Activities:

  • 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. K–5th Workshop 1 and Workshop 2
  • 12:00-12:30 p.m. Science On a Sphere® Presentation
  • 1:30–2:00 p.m. Science On a Sphere® Presentation
  • 2:00–3:30 p.m. K–5th Workshop 3 and 6th–12th Workshop 1
  • 3:30-4:00 p.m. Science On a Sphere® Presentation

Note: The K-5th and 6th-12th workshops feature similar activities with scaled content and/or challenges for younger or older students. We encourage families to enroll their students in the workshop that is the best fit for them.

Admission:

Nonmember: 1st child $15, each additional child $12 (includes admission). 1 Free adult per family, each additional adult $13 (includes admission). Passport Members receive free admission.
