DESCRIPTION:Join observers around the world in learning about lunar science and exploration (and sharing your own Moon work!)\, making celestial observations\, and honoring cultural and personal connections to the Moon. 1.3M+ people in 127+ countries and all 7 continents participate. \n\nYou can participate in International Observe the Moon Night from wherever you are. Attend or host a virtual or in-person event in your community\, or observe with your family\, friends\, neighbors\, or on your own.\nShare program resources with your community via our curated one-pager.\nRegister your participation to add your event\, or yourself\, to the map of lunar observers.\n\nNote that we offer flexible programming – you may host an event or participate in the week leading up to\, and following\, October 4.\n\n\nTune in to the NASA broadcast and watch live streams of the Moon from telescopes around the world on our Live Streams page on October 4.\nConnect online to share your experience and discover how others are participating through the program Flickr group or your preferred social media platform\, using the hashtag #ObserveTheMoon.\n\nWe encourage you to interpret ‘observe’ broadly. From backyard viewing to lunar art projects to feeling the Moon through 3D prints\, there are many ways to observe\, enjoy\, and learn about the Moon.
