SUMMARY:Zero Debris Week (3rd Annual)
DESCRIPTION:To tackle one of the space sector’s most pressing challenges. 3rd Zero Debris Future Symposium (September 8-9) and the Zero Debris Technical Sessions (September 9-11). \nEngage with fellow experts and decision-makers as we explore the high-level obstacles facing the Zero Debris initiative and work collaboratively to identify practical solutions. \nThe Zero Debris Week will consist of two professional events:\nThe 3rd Zero Debris Future Symposium\nFor senior decision-makers\, high-level representatives and participants with relevant non-technical expertise\, including regulatory\, policy\, legal and commercial matters. \nA workshop of the Zero Debris Technical Forum\nFor technical experts and specialists\, including operators\, researchers\, and innovators\, who can actively contribute to in‑depth discussions on technical solutions\, current gaps\, and key enablers required to achieve the Zero Debris targets. \n  \nA number of social activities and opportunities to network will also be organised throughout the week. \n  \nRegistration Deadline\nThe deadline to register for the Zero Debris Week is July 1st 2026. \n  \nPlease note that separate registrations are required for the Zero Debris Future Symposium and the Zero Debris Technical Sessions \nAs there are limited places available\, registrations will be moderated. Participants will be notified on the outcome of their registration by July 3rd. In the case of over-subscription\, we will maintain a back-up list of registrations. \n  \nProgramme overview\n3rd Zero Debris Future Symposium | September 8-9\nJoin the third edition of the Zero Debris Future Symposium for high-level discussions on the non-technical aspects of the Zero Debris initiative\, including: \nStructuring the Zero Debris Community for Enhanced Impact\nBeyond and after Zero Debris: What Role for the Community?\nThe inaugural workshops of the first Policy Working Groups\nStart time: 13:30 on 08/09/26\nEnd time: 12:30 on 09/09/26 \nZero Debris Technical Sessions | September 9-11\nJoin us for a new series of technical sessions dedicated to advancing the Zero Debris initiative. Participants will review the outcomes of the mapping and prioritisation tasks for the Booklet and share pitches highlighting cutting-edge technologies. There will also be two focused working sessions: one on technical White Papers and another on the development of a shared database of technologies supporting the Zero Debris effort. \nA dedicated training session on outreach and expanding the international reach of the ZD Booklet will help strengthen engagement across the community. \nThe Technical Sessions will conclude with B2B meetings\, offering participants the opportunity to connect\, exchange perspectives\, and explore new collaborations. \nStart time: 14:00 on 09/09/26\nEnd time: 13:00 on 11/09/26 \nLimited Places Available\nWe invite organizations to coordinate and send a limited number of representatives who can actively contribute to shaping the future of space sustainability. Your expertise and input are invaluable to achieving our zero debris goals by 2030. \nIn the case of over-subscription\, ESA will strive to invite a diversity of organisations to participate in the ZD Week. ESA reserves the right to prioritise attendance based on previous involvement in the ZD Charter and the ZD Technical Booklet.
