SUMMARY:Space Generation Congress 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Space Generation Congress (SGC) is the annual meeting of the Space Generation Advisory Council always held in conjunction with the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) at the same hosting country. Every year\, the SGC event receives about 150 outstanding students and young professionals who share a passion for space. Through the SGC\, SGAC aims to give a voice to the young generation of space leaders so that they can share their opinions and perspectives concerning international space development. They are selected with a highly competitive application process open to our Space Generation international network. With SGC\, SGAC aims to promote the voice of the next generation of space sector leaders on the topic of international space development. \n\n\nThe 23rd edition of the Space Generation Congress (SGC) aims to bring together the next generation of space leaders to discuss the two-folded dimensions of sustainability: in space and on earth. Under the title of “Next-Gen Space Leaders: Innovating an Equitable and Sustainable Access to Space for the Future\,” we invite you to join us in shaping a future where equity and sustainability serves as the guiding principle in our journey to the stars.

SUMMARY:2nd Academic Symposium on Chang'E-8 Mission Scientific Exploration and Research
DESCRIPTION:During this prototype R&D period\, the Forum aims to verify the scientific objectives of the payload and ground testing operations for the Chang’E-8 lunar mission and to facilitate the exchange between the payload researchers and scientists. \nCo-organized by Institute of Optoelectronics and the Chinese Academy of Sciences and its National Space Science Center. \nInternational cooperation opportunities were announced in December 2023 by the China National Space Administration (CNSA) for international partners to participate in payload and project-level cooperation for the mission. Chang’E-8 mission scientific objectives include lunar south pole exploration\, development of technologies for a future lunar research station\, investigating lunar multi-physics fields and testing capabilities for building lunar habitats using in-situ resources. Information on the mission likely to increase closer to the launch\, which is expected NET 2028. \nStarvision Aerospace Group Limited\, a Chinese commercial satellite company\, Zhejiang University and Turkiye’s Middle East Technical University will jointly develop two 5-kg micro-robots for the mission\, which also will feature a 100-kg roving robot being developed by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology\, several Chinese Universities\, Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology and South African National Space Agency.
